We are a Community Band comprised of a variety of performing groups.   The Oak Lawn Band and been existance for more than thirty years due hundreds of people like you.  Whether you are a musician, volunteer or supporter.

The Oak Lawn Band is comprised of a number of groups:

• Symphonic Band
• Marching Band
• Ensembles (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Brass, etc)
• Jazz Band
• Twirling Corps (Flags, Baton, Sabre, Rifle)
• Drum Line
• Volunteers

You are invited to be in one or all of the groups above.

Our Community Band is made up of musicians and performers of a variety of playing levels.  We have folks that come to us and say "I haven't picked my horn since High School or College" or "I am a professional musician and music intructor".  As stated in our ByLaws and above all are welcome regardless of your playing ability as long as you support our mission as a community band.  As such there are no auditions to join, just come join us at a regular rehearsal and sit in.

One of our biggest assets is our group of Volunteers or "Band-Aids" that do all of the behind the scenes activities.  From managing our concerts to helping us raise dollars.   Volunteers do not need any performing ability but if you have a talent in Writing, Customer Service, etc.
